Day at the Zoo Soccer Drill
Have two teams lined up on opposite sides of a 20-30 yard box. Have rounds of races that involve the players dribbling to the opposite end of the box and stopping the ball on the line before impersonating an animal.
This game teaches players to dribble at speed while avoiding collisions with the other team who will be coming in the opposite direction. The ball must also be under control as it needs to be stopped on the finish line. Have a different animal for every round. For example round 1 can be the lion round. The winning team is the first team to reach the opposite line and roar like lions. Add fun to the game by giving bonus points for the best animal impersonations and using them as a tie breaker.
