U.S. Soccer Coaching Curriculum
The U.S. Soccer Coaching Education program was developed to improve the "development of players in the organized player base in the United States."
The program puts a focus on age specific training, that is enjoyable to players. The materials in the U.S. Soccer Coaching education program are easily worth a good amount of money based on the information that is in them. But, U.S. Soccer has provided the information free of charge.
As we all know coaches come in all different levels of training and experience. Some coaches played professionally, are "A" licensed, and have 30 years experience while others are volunteer coaches without playing experience. But, we all have the same goal and that is the "Proper" develoment of the youth players. Overall it's a great way to increase the level of players in the US and all over the world. To get you started watch this video by U.S. Soccer technical director Claudio Reyna as he presents the new U.S. Soccer Coaching Curriculum.
If you want to skip to the curriculum, move the video to about 33 minutes into the video. But I recommend listening to it all to get some background and understanding.
